Starlux Airlines announced its cabin design and onboard equipment on October 2, led by the Designworks design team under BMW Group. With the concept of "home" and the integration of the latest hardware, they crafted a unique cabin design.

Breaking away from the traditional strong corporate atmosphere, the cabin offers a warm, homelike comfort. Echoing the brand’s signature color palette, the overall cabin and seats are designed in earthy warm tones, creating a customized cabin space with the distinctive Starlux style.

The hardware specifications have set multiple new records in Taiwan’s narrow-body aircraft industry. For example, Business Class features 180-degree fully flat beds, extending up to 82 inches (208 cm), free WiFi service throughout the aircraft (Economy Class offers unlimited-text Wi-Fi), and AVOD in-flight entertainment systems in all classes. Built to the highest standards, this first Airbus A321neo in Taiwan reflects Starlux Airlines’ emphasis on its inaugural aircraft and its commitment to refined service.

In addition, to deliver a “five-sense” premium flight experience, Starlux Airlines also launched its exclusive debut fragrance, “Home in the Air.” Created by Pan Yuqing, founder of the renowned local perfume brand P.Seven, the scent draws inspiration from the Starlux logo, brand identity, and cabin interior design. Tailored specifically for the cabin environment, it aims to provide passengers with visual and olfactory sensations akin to the serenity and freshness of soaring through the universe—crafting a light, elegant, and homelike atmosphere. In the future, this fragrance will be used across all Starlux Airlines fleets and VIP lounges, ensuring passengers will instantly recognize the unique “Starlux Fragrance.”

Created by Pan Yuqing, founder of P.Seven, the exclusive Starlux Fragrance is inspired by the freshness of home combined with the tranquility of the cosmos. Using materials such as leather, pine, cardamom, amber, and fir, it weaves an elegant woody tone that complements the earthy cabin aesthetic. Notes of sandalwood, iris root, and violet add warmth, creating a calming and anxiety-reducing ambiance. After multiple fragrance adjustments and layering tests, Starlux staff conducted an outdoor scent trial and vote, ultimately selecting the most beloved version of the Starlux Fragrance.

Starlux Airlines has pioneered a collaboration with a local brand to launch an exclusive fragrance. This scent will be used in ticket counters, VIP lounges, cabins, onboard cleaning supplies, and welcome towels, making passengers feel right at home the moment they step into Starlux spaces. Travelers will also carry this unique “Starlux Fragrance” with them on international journeys.

The Starlux Airlines A321neo features a total of 188 seats across two classes: 8 in Business Class and 180 in Economy Class. The cabin design, led by the Designworks team under BMW Group, centers on the theme of “comfort like home.” The main cabin color concept is called “Pure Tea,” creating a gentle and elegant atmosphere in the otherwise cold cabin space. Enjoying cabin service feels like savoring a fine cup of tea, leaving a lingering aftertaste. Business Class showcases a dignified color scheme exuding prestige, while Economy Class uses bright earthy tones to create a sense of spaciousness. The carpet pattern resembles stars scattered across the floor, and the partition curtains use warm, muted colors. A soft, natural color palette runs throughout the cabin, with attention to quality hidden in every detail.

Beyond visual intricacies, the sense of touch is another highly refined aspect of Starlux Airlines’ five-sense service. The seat cushions and headrests, which are closest to passengers, underwent a special selection process—all evaluated seats were transported to Starlux’s headquarters.
