A cool waterfall hides in a railway secret spot. Walking along the trail into the forest, you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and winding paths leading to serene spots. Along the way, you can also visit historic Western-style buildings, old streets, and the railway — making it a perfect getaway for travelers looking to unwind.

Located near Lingjiao Station, Lingjiao Waterfall not only offers a tranquil environment, but also features curtain-like water cascading straight down from huge rock faces. The sound of flowing water echoes through the air, creating a spectacular view — like a white silk ribbon plunging down.

The Lingjiao Liao Mountain hiking trail showcases diverse natural vegetation such as acacia trees, camellia trees, and snakegourd herbs. Along the way, you’ll pass by the “Three Treasures of Lingjiao” (the Tsai Family Western-style House, Wanggu Waterfall, and the Lingjiao Ancient Bridge), where you can get an up-close look at the beauty of Wanggu Waterfall. It’s one of the rare hidden paradises in the city.

Once a bustling coal mining hub, Lingjiao Station has now shed its former glory, becoming even more serene and mysterious. It lies quietly by the Keelung River, seemingly cut off from the world, and is home to many unique natural landscapes. Whether it’s the waterfalls or potholes, all are distinctive. The murmuring river valley and the layered mountains on both sides create a truly refreshing atmosphere.

The bay-style platform of Lingjiao Station is quite picturesque, and it has been the filming location for many dramas. The site features numerous historical remnants, including coal transport facilities, a Japanese-era mining dormitory museum, and the Tsai Family Western-style House, all exuding a strong historical charm.
