Covering an area of about 3.4 hectares, Hinoki Forest Life Village preserves traditional Japanese-style architecture. The park has renovated and repurposed early dormitories and official residences of Japanese staff using traditional Japanese construction techniques, creating a new hub for forestry culture, art, tourism, and entertainment.

Located on the east side of Dongyuan Tribe in Pingtung’s Peinan, the Water Grassland, known in the Paiwan language as “pudung,” meaning “corner,” is considered a taboo area by the local tribe. In this region, wetland plants grow intricately in the high-moisture swamp mud, forming a unique water grassland landscape. The Water Grassland and Dongyuan Forest Recreation Area both belong to the Dongyuan Wetland area, boasting rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, along with friendly and enthusiastic guides—making it an ideal destination for eco-tourism.

Tainan’s Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area boasts abundant natural ecology and expansive sea views, along with a "Forest of Forgetfulness" composed of dead trees and mangroves, which is beloved by travelers. Situated between the Bazhang River and the Jishui River, it lies to the north of Tainan’s coastal area. The park’s wooden boardwalks are lined with mangroves such as red mangrove, kandelia, lumnitzera, and sonneratia, offering rich natural wetland landscapes and ecology.
