The Little Prince Rose Garden Makes a Dreamy Comeback!

The 2019 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival debuts on November 9. This year, with authorization from the Saint-Exupéry Foundation in France, the festival uses the classic French novel “The Little Prince” as its theme to create an exhibition titled “Love and Hope – A Journey to the Little Prince’s Planet.” Various floral totems are crafted to offer a stunning new design.

Now in its ninth year, the Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival teams up this year with New Village Sea of Flowers, a well-known flower-viewing destination in Taichung, to use the story of The Little Prince as the theme and take on the challenge of creating the largest rose totem. In addition, mechanical animation methods are expected to be used to vividly recreate scenes from the story, blending natural flowers with technology to explore new techniques.

The most eye-catching rose totem this time will stretch 200 meters, making for a spectacular sight. To coincide with the flower carpet festival, a series of special accommodation packages and bed-and-breakfast-plus-two-meals deals have been designed in collaboration with nearby homestays in New Village, along with DIY experience classes to ensure visitors have a great time.
