Last updated 2026-11-08 — On September 22, the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club officially launched its 2018 operations in Yinchuan. Skydiving, an emerging extreme sport, is attracting increasing attention and love from the public, becoming a new trend in leisure sports consumption.

The recently released blockbuster *Mission: Impossible – Fallout* features a thrilling 2-minute high-altitude, low-opening skydive scene by Tom Cruise that had audiences on the edge of their seats. In fact, skydiving, the “sport for the brave,” is no longer just a cinematic stunt. Since 2016, the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club has operated tandem skydiving services in places like Beijing and Ningxia, allowing skydiving enthusiasts in China to experience this “safer-than-crossing-the-street” ultimate thrill locally.

Experience the thrill of leaping from 4,000 meters above ground

On September 22, the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club officially launched its 2018 operations in Yinchuan. Li Ruiyi, Executive Vice President of Beijing Pan-Pacific Aviation, Yang Wei, Vice President of Pan-Pacific Aviation and General Manager of the Skydiving Club, and Chen Wei, Deputy General Manager of Yinchuan Crescent Lake Airport, attended the event. General Manager Yang stated: “Golden September is the most beautiful season in Yinchuan, and also the best time for skydiving. Leaping from 4,000 meters above, overlooking the ‘Land of Rivers and Lakes beyond the Great Wall’ over the Yellow River, you can experience the joy of free flight with adrenaline pumping.”

General Manager Yang also said: “Skydiving, an emerging extreme sport, is gaining more and more attention and love from the public, becoming a new trend in leisure sports consumption. This year marks the third year of the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club’s operations in Yinchuan. We hope the club’s business will take root and flourish here, growing into a towering tree and adding a unique city calling card for Yinchuan.”

On September 22, off-road enthusiast Du Taiguang and three travel influencers attended the opening ceremony. Off-road enthusiast Du Taiguang said: “I’m here for the Alxa Heroes Meeting. I’ve always been driving through deserts and swamps in off-road adventures, but never took to the skies before. I hope my fellow off-roaders will come and experience the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club’s Yinchuan base.” Travel influencer Yan Bo also mentioned she’s a big fan of the story of Zixia and the Monkey King, and came specifically to Yinchuan to visit the Western Film Studio. Little did she expect to now experience the thrill of riding the ‘seven-colored clouds’ above the filming location. She not only fulfilled her *A Chinese Odyssey* dream but also enjoyed an exhilarating skydiving adventure.

A new “youth-oriented” travel destination in Yinchuan

Since its official launch in 2016, the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club has been committed to providing consumers with professional and safe skydiving experiences. The club uses the flagship P750 aircraft for all operations, a model jointly produced by Beijing Pan-Pacific Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. and Pacific Aerospace Limited of New Zealand. It is globally recognized as one of the best aircraft for skydiving, and also boasts superior performance such as ultra-short takeoff and landing, high adaptability, and multi-purpose utility.

The opening of the Pan-Pacific Skydiving Club will drive diversified tourism development in Yinchuan, offering local residents in Ningxia and surrounding areas a new recreational activity right at their doorstep. Leveraging the area’s geographical advantages, tourism appeal, and service strengths, skydiving will be established as a new highlight of Yinchuan’s leisure tourism, attracting more visitors to experience this high-altitude sport, thereby elevating Yinchuan’s economic development to new heights.
