As the autumn breeze brings a slight chill, it's time to start soaking in hot springs. The annual Pingtung Sichongxi Hot Spring Festival kicks off on November 8th, this year themed around maple leaves and paired with a stunning light display—making your hot spring experience and scenic views incredibly romantic.

The annual Pingtung Sichongxi Hot Spring Festival runs from November 8th this year to February 9th next year. Following last year’s popular romantic purple lavender light sea, this year’s theme is crimson maple leaves, with a dreamy explosion of bright red lights.

In addition to the romantic light sea and beautiful maple leaves, Sichongxi Hot Spring Park has also set up six specialty shops selling local agricultural products, cultural and creative goods. Hungry travelers can also enjoy a variety of dining options here.

The hot spring festival has also thoughtfully provided shuttle services. Additionally, it has partnered with local accommodations and restaurants in Checheng. Spend a minimum of NT$1,000 in a single purchase or stay one night, and you’ll receive an adorable Congbao towel.

Sichongxi Hot Springs is located within Checheng. Its source originates from the foothills of Shimu Mountain. With the geographical advantage of being surrounded by mountains, the spring water flows continuously. The hot spring is a sodium bicarbonate type, rich in various minerals. After bathing, your skin becomes smooth and clean, earning it the nickname “Beauty Spring.”
