(Beijing, January 9, 2018) Since its founding in 1962, the world-renowned luxury travel brand Abercrombie & Kent (hereinafter referred to as A&K) has remained true to its founding mission, continuously enhancing the travel experience for its guests. It now covers over 100 destinations worldwide. Recently, A&K further expanded its global office network by establishing a new ground operations office in Japan, bringing the total number of its subsidiaries to 56 across more than 30 countries and regions, aiming to offer more high-quality travel options for both domestic and international travelers.

Zhang Dizhong, CEO of Abercrombie & Kent China, said: “Over the past two years, we have been pleased to see a growing number of Chinese clients seeking high-quality travel experiences in Japan, with rapid growth in demand for premium small-group tours and private custom trips to Japan. To efficiently integrate high-quality local tourism resources and ensure the consistently high service standards that A&K maintains globally, A&K has established its 15th office in the Asia region in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, to provide more thoughtful and personalized services for our guests.”

Led by Hatsuko Tsujimura, General Manager for Japan with over a decade of experience in the premium travel industry, the newly established Japan ground operations office will be better equipped in itinerary design, resource integration, and customer service, offering more comprehensive one-stop services for discerning travelers. The A&K China office will also collaborate with the Japan office to develop more travel products tailored to the needs of Chinese premium travelers. Japan-based A&K experts and guides will also draw on their extensive knowledge to provide Chinese guests with deeper insights into Japanese history and culture while enjoying its natural beauty, creating a uniquely refined travel experience. With A&K, guests may have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Japanese tea ceremony from a master in a private garden in Kanazawa, a historic city in Japan; enjoy an exclusive private dinner in a 400-year-old traditional Japanese garden in Kyoto; or join a Japanese cuisine master for a visit to Tsukiji Market, followed by a hands-on cooking experience guided by the master himself.

Jonathan White, Executive President of Destination Management at A&K, said: “The establishment of our Japan office gives us more opportunities to engage directly with the locals and immerse ourselves in the local culture, allowing us to better understand Japan, promote it, and thereby enhance our service standards to better serve travelers, continuing to earn the consistent recognition and praise of the industry, and living up to our reputation as the gold standard in luxury travel.”
