LPG Pass Beginner's Guide: 3-Day Tour in the Big Apple, New York

New York is a world-renowned metropolis, and first-time visitors are sure to have many attractions they want to explore within just a few days. Bringing a New York Pass can help you plan the most suitable itinerary. The New York Pass includes access to over 100 popular attractions, from the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge. Visitors can easily enjoy their journey in the Big Apple.

Here is a 3-day itinerary recommended by the experts at the New York Pass:
Day 1: Discover the Layout of New York City
Spend a day getting to know the layout of New York City by taking a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus. While listening to the attraction commentary, you can visit more than 25 stops around Manhattan. Starting from Times Square, the city center route will take you to Union Square, Little Italy, and Chinatown.

At stop 11, you can get off to visit the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO neighborhood. Stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge while learning the fascinating stories behind this iconic New York landmark, and enjoy the spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline. After crossing the bridge, explore the trendy DUMBO area, known for its high-end boutiques, delicious dessert and pizza shops, art galleries, and picturesque waterfront scenery.
At stop 4 on the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus route, you can see one of the seven modern wonders of the world — the Empire State Building. On a clear day, head up to the 86th floor for views that stretch up to 80 miles (approximately 128 kilometers), including Central Park, Manhattan, New Jersey, Connecticut, and even Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Day 2: Learn the History of the Big Apple
Start your second day by taking a ferry to admire New York, where you can learn about centuries of American history. Head to Ellis Island to see the world-class attraction you can’t miss in New York — the Statue of Liberty. No trip to New York is complete without visiting the Statue of Liberty. It was the entry point for over 12 million immigrants to the United States and is a symbol of America and New York’s most famous cultural landmark, representing centuries of American history.
Returning to more recent history, visit the 9/11 National Memorial & Museum, established to honor the 2,977 victims of the terrorist attacks in 2001 and the six victims of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. View respectful interactive exhibits that tell the tragic story of the 21st century's twin towers tragedy.

After exploring heavy historical stories, relax with some music and discover two of New York’s most famous music venues. Radio City Music Hall is one of the oldest buildings in Manhattan and the site of the first MTV Video Music Awards, as well as numerous Grammy Awards ceremonies. During the 75-minute tour, you can check out the celebrity visitors’ book, filled with signatures from legendary performers at Radio City.
Then visit Carnegie Hall to explore the venue where the world’s greatest musicians have performed, from Tchaikovsky (who played his Coronation March on the night of its official opening) to the legendary rock band The Beatles.

Day 3: Experience Authentic New York Life
On the last day of your 3-day New York tour, immerse yourself in the city’s culture, food, and leisure life. Start with a food walking tour in one of the city’s most popular culinary neighborhoods, sampling a variety of classic dishes. Within a 3.5-hour itinerary, you can visit up to six casual dining spots and takeout hotspots. Combine “Noshing” (a New York specialty snack), sightseeing, and subway rides to experience the daily life of New Yorkers. The food walking tour ranges from the East Village’s Variety Tour to the Meat Tour, offering diverse culinary experiences.
After eating and drinking, head to the cultural heart of New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, also known as “The MET.” It is one of the world’s most famous museums and the art center of New York City, housing over 2 million works of art and hosting more than 30 exhibitions each year, showcasing art spanning 5,000 years. As the venue for the annual “most important event in the fashion world,” the Met Gala, the Metropolitan Museum of Art welcomes over 7 million visitors each year. Explore the epic masterpieces of the world’s most prolific artists, from Da Vinci and Picasso to Monet and Van Gogh. Holders of the New York Pass can also skip the line and enter the museum directly.

A must-visit for first-time travelers to New York is Central Park. The most convenient way to explore Central Park is by renting a bike and cycling through it like a local. Visit famous sites such as Strawberry Fields, Shakespeare Garden, and the Cherry Hill Fountain, which appear in countless movies, TV shows, artworks, and literary works. Enjoy a full 2-hour guided tour of Central Park with a professional guide to discover its highlights. Alternatively, you can rent a bike and explore the park at your own pace.

The best way to end your 3-day tour is by visiting the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. Widely regarded as having the best panoramic views of New York City, it offers an exceptional view of the iconic Empire State Building. From all directions, you can gaze miles away and take in the breathtaking skyline of New York City. This attraction is open until midnight, allowing you to enjoy the city that never sleeps during your final hours in New York.

The 3-day New York Pass often goes on promotion, making sightseeing more affordable. During promotions, the price is $205, compared to the original price of $274. Based on the above 3-day recommended itinerary, the original price is $399, saving you a total of $125. In addition, holders of the New York Pass can enjoy fast-track entry and skip-the-line privileges.
The New York Pass can be purchased online and picked up locally, or used via a mobile app. The app also provides an electronic version of the guidebook, which includes featured attractions, transportation maps, public holidays in New York, and details of free Wi-Fi spots.
