The 2019 Qiansen Cup UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Level 1 and the 2019 Qiansen Cup UCI BMX Racing World Cup Level 1 will grandly kick off between August and September.
Cyclo-cross
Cyclo-cross originated in Europe in the 19th century and was initially a training event for Tour de France champions. After more than a hundred years of development, it has become a classic professional sport and is also a discipline that the UCI is actively promoting for inclusion in the Winter Olympics. The cyclo-cross course features elevation changes within 15 meters and combines elements of road cycling and cross-country running. Competitors navigate hills, grasslands, streams, and gravel paths, with courses typically ranging from 2.4 to 3.5 kilometers in length. Depending on the difficulty of the course, athletes must complete 7 to 10 laps, allowing spectators to witness their skills multiple times throughout the race.
Since the Qiansen Group introduced the professional cyclo-cross event to China in 2013, after years of development, the 2018 edition was held in Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia—a city known for many titles including “Hometown of Millet,” “Birthplace of 8,000-Year-Old Dragon Culture,” and “Origin of Chinese Jade Culture.” The 7th Qiansen Cup UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup Level 1 in 2019 will commence as scheduled on September 1. Top international professional cyclists from 20 countries and 40 teams around the world will compete fiercely in Aohan.

BMX Racing

In the 1990s, BMX racing was officially recognized by the UCI, and in 2008, it made its Olympic debut as a new event at the Beijing Olympics. Additionally, BMX freestyle will make its first major appearance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
