The white sea of blooming plum blossoms is a stunning spectacle.
Along County Highway 166 in the northwest corridor of Alishan National Scenic Area—from Zhushan’s Jiaoliping via Yuantan to Ruili’s Kezailin—two stretches are currently showcasing successive waves of blooming plum blossoms, which have now entered their prime viewing period. The full bloom is expected to last for 7 to 10 days.

The prime viewing period has arrived, with the full bloom lasting around 7 to 10 days.
The plum blossoms include varieties such as Huanggan plum, honey plum, and red-fleshed plum. Currently, the Huanggan and honey plums are successively in full bloom. This year, the blossoms are blooming in rotation, with the most abundant Huanggan plums located in Ruili’s Kezailin, which will reach full bloom next week.
