The fluctuating hot and cold weather has led to a recent surge in colds. On Friday (the 17th), the northeast monsoon will strengthen and the continental cold air mass will move southward. On Saturday and Sunday (the 18th and 19th), the influence of the northeast monsoon or continental cold air mass will cause the northern and northeastern regions to turn cold, with localized brief showers in the north and eastern parts. Temperatures could drop as low as 14 degrees Celsius.

On the 20th, under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the northern and northeastern regions will remain cool, while other areas will also be cool in the morning and evening. Localized brief showers are expected in the northern and eastern parts, while other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny. Starting from the 21st, the northeast monsoon will weaken and temperatures will rise. On the 21st and 22nd, there will be localized brief showers in the eastern parts and mountainous areas of the north, while other regions will be mostly cloudy to sunny.
In terms of temperature, due to radiational cooling, temperatures will remain relatively low in the early hours of the 16th. The lows in areas north of Tainan and in Yilan will be around 14 to 16 degrees Celsius, with possibly even lower temperatures in some mountainous or open areas. Other regions will see lows around 17 to 18 degrees Celsius. Be sure to keep warm.
