Another excellent place to visit during the Spring Festival—breathe in the fresh air of nature and enjoy a colorful array of beautiful flowers. The “Shilin Official Residence Spring Flower Exhibition” makes a joyful debut over the Lunar New Year holiday, running continuously from January 25 to March 1. Set within the Xinlan Pavilion, it presents a vibrant and festive orchid feast, joining the public in welcoming the Year of the Metal Rat.

The Shilin Official Residence Park is a fantastic spot for a New Year outing. The “Spring Flower Exhibition” displays over 350 Phalaenopsis orchids representing more than 20 varieties, all symbolic of good fortune. The exhibition area is also decorated with festive elements such as firecrackers and lanterns, creating a splendid, colorful scene that’s sure to dazzle the eyes and quickly fill up your camera’s memory.

In addition to the Phalaenopsis orchids in the Xinlan Pavilion, various scenic spots throughout the Shilin Official Residence grounds have been replanted and adorned with many beautiful and bright flowers, presenting a garden in full bloom. In the themed area, the “Melodious Princess” green sculpture is paired with the “Heavenly Lute Player” giraffe sculpture, complemented by seasonal flowers, to celebrate the New Year together with visitors.
This Spring Flower Exhibition will keep you company all the way until March 1.
Near the entrance to the open-air music terrace, a teapot green sculpture is paired with a giant tea cup-shaped chrysanthemum, from whose rim wisps of smoke occasionally drift. At the traffic light scenic spot, festive poinsettias set the scene alongside a pair of over four-meter-tall swan green sculptures, nestled closely together. Travelers can snap sweet photos here. Everyone is welcome to bring family and friends to explore the Shilin Official Residence during the Spring Festival.
