Wuri District is located at the southern end of Taichung City, serving as the gateway to the Taichung Basin. Bordered by Dadu Mountain to the north and Bagua Mountain to the south, it boasts not only beautiful natural scenery but also serves as a vital transportation hub in central Taiwan. It is one of the few districts in Taichung where three types of rail transit intersect. Find some time and bring your family for a visit to Wuri.

Since its construction during the Japanese colonial period, the “Zhigaozhen” irrigation channel has drawn water from the Fazi River in Nantun to irrigate the rice fields of Wuri and Dadu. In recent years, with the addition of trail facilities, this agricultural water conservancy site has also become a hidden gem for hiking and sightseeing. The route is lush with greenery, spanning approximately 6 kilometers along the irrigation ditches. Upon reaching the mountain’s triangulation point, you can enjoy a vast expanse of silvergrass meadows, attracting many visitors for leisurely walks and photo opportunities.

The Mayuantouxi Riverside Park covers an area of 1.67 hectares. The park features a historical plaza, a literature-themed trail, animal stone sculptures, an arched floral corridor, a flower cable bridge, and an abundance of planted flowers and trees. The roughly 1-kilometer-long circular bike path encircles the park, making it a great spot for a stroll—especially enchanting at night when the garden lights illuminate and the water sparkles under the glow.

Chenggong Bus Stop.
Chenggong Bus Stop holds nostalgic memories for many Taiwanese. As a key transit point for accessing the Success Fort military training base, it has served as the hub for both college students and new recruits undergoing training. Recently, the stop has gained fame for another reason — the train ticket between Chenggong and Zhuifen stations forms the phrase “Chasing Success” (追分成功), which sounds like “achieve success in exams.” Many students facing entrance exams come here to get this auspicious ticket.

Wuri Beer Visitor Factory.
Located in Wuri District, the Taiwan Beer Factory is one of the three major brewing facilities of Taiwan Beer. In production since 1966, the brewery maintains strict quality control over ingredients, water, processes, and final products. Its beer is beloved by locals and also a favorite among international visitors to Taiwan. Currently, the factory is dedicated to advancing beer research and development technologies as well as preserving brewing heritage, with future plans to present itself as a “beer village.”
