The 2020 Lunar New Year is approaching. To celebrate the Year of the Rat, Mickey’s zodiac year, with Disney fans around the world, Walt Disney Taiwan has issued the “2020 Mouse of You” commemorative coin for the first time. Only 1,680 coins are available globally, and they will be distributed through limited channels starting January 2020!

This is the first time Walt Disney Taiwan has issued a zodiac New Year commemorative coin in Taiwan. In addition to featuring the superstar Mickey’s festive design and a large “福” (fortune) character, the back of the coin also showcases a relief design of “2020 YEAR OF THE MOUSE Mouse of You,” shining in a brilliant golden glow. This highly collectible coin is truly a treasure!
Starting January 2020, you can get a chance to win the coin by shopping at the “2020 Mouse of You” Disney’s 10 designated channels, including the limited-time Mouse of You store, Shopee Shopping’s Mouse of You zone, Uniqlo, NET, CACO, Beast Kingdom, Sky Blue Boutique, five designated Shiseido stores, HOLA, and ZAKKA HOUSE.

In addition to issuing the “2020 Mouse of You Commemorative Coin” for the first time, Walt Disney Taiwan will also celebrate the Year of the Rat with a series of online and offline events. The first wave of activities kicks off at the “Shopee Shopping New Year Festival – 2020 Mouse of You Zone.” Starting January 2, you can see the adorable figures of Mickey and Minnie celebrating the New Year as soon as you open Shopee. Not only is there a 2020 Mouse of You shopping zone full of Mickey-themed merchandise, but there are also New Year fortune bags, the “Shopee Puzzle Fun” Disney special event, and a raffle for the “Limited 2020 Mouse of You Commemorative Coin,” among many other great offers!
Besides online activities, from 14:30 on January 6, the “2020 Mouse of You Limited-Time Store” will open at Taipei Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi A11, followed by Taichung Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Zhonggang Store from January 16. The two locations feature two different styles of Mouse of You Spring Festival decorations that are super photogenic for fans!

The limited-time store also launches exclusive New Year fortune bags for Mickey and Minnie. On opening day, the first 50 customers can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the limited-edition Mickey & Minnie New Year Fortune Bags. Additionally, spend NT$2,020 or more at the limited-time store for a chance to take home the super-limited “2020 Mouse of You Commemorative Gold Coin”!
