Although prices in Bangkok have been rising lately and the current exchange rate is painful, nothing can dampen my enthusiasm for Thailand. Since the exchange rate is unfavorable and #8230;
(Bangkok accommodation options are super saturated, but I wanted to stay somewhere close to the BTS but not too far out (I once stayed near On Nut station, and taking the train back every day felt so far away...), and of course, the price couldn’t be too high (my budget was under NT$1,500 per night!). Also, while the accommodation didn’t need to be five-star level, it still had to be clean and comfortable. Considering all these conditions, it was honestly quite hard to find. But in the end, I did manage to find it—and today I’m here to recommend the Bangkok accommodation Adagio Bangkok.)

Bangkok accommodation recommendations
Adagio Bangkok is located just 150 meters from Exit 3 of BTS Phrom Phong Station—about a 1–2 minute walk!
The surrounding area is super convenient. Not only is it close to two major malls, EmQuartier and Emporium, which are both connected via BTS skybridges, but there are also plenty of restaurants and street food spots along the way to Adagio Bangkok. There are convenience stores like FamilyMart and 7-11 nearby, and even...Japan’s LAWSONis there too. Isn’t that just perfect?!

The hotel is so close to the BTS that I couldn’t even finish marveling before arriving!
The entrance features floor-to-ceiling windows and includes bar-style seating, giving off instant coffee shop vibes.
There was a little unexpected twist, so we ended up staying in three different room types, haha~ Not sure if that’s good luck or bad XD. Although switching rooms almost every day was a bit tiring, it also meant we got to stay in more premium rooms, which was a pretty unique experience.
【Two-bedroom, one-living-room, four-person room (with bathtub)】
This is the most premium room type at Adagio Bangkok. Although the official website lists it at NT$4,200 per night, you can find much better deals on booking platforms—at around NT$2,100, which is super worth it. A small downside is that since this room is on the sixth floor and the elevator only goes up to the fifth, you have to carry your luggage up one more flight. When we checked in, the staff helped bring our luggage to the room, but at check-out, we had to take it down ourselves. For someone like me who likes to shop, carrying luggage down a floor is pretty tiring—petite women might need help carrying it down.
The photo above shows the area near the entrance—there's a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, hangers, kettle, microwave, and tableware. It really has everything you need. I have to say, having simple tableware and a microwave in the room is amazing!! Because when you’re in Thailand, you definitely want to buy lots of microwave meals from 7-11. Although the staff will heat them up for you, sometimes you don’t want to eat right away as they might get cold. So having a microwave is just the best, right?!
The overall design follows the popular industrial style, with a spacious layout and even a swing chair that’s a favorite among Instagrammers. I’m not an influencer, but I loved lounging in it too. There’s also a sofa and higher dining table and chairs nearby, perfect for late-night snacks or just chilling out.
The wall color of the room is dreamyTiffany blue！ The top two photos show two different rooms, which actually look quite similar (the air conditioners are on different sides—can you spot that?). As for the beds, I personally think they’re of a medium firmness. Since I don’t like beds that are so soft they feel like you’re sinking into them, I’d say these are firmer with a bit of bounce.After sleeping on it all night, I found it quite comfortable.
The bathroom is a wet-and-dry separated layout, featuring a large white bathtub in a Western style.
The amenities include one large and one small towel per person, shampoo, and body wash (they come from a wall-mounted dispenser, not individual bottles). You’ll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
One thing I’m really happy about is that the hairdryer here isn’t the wall-mounted push-button type. It’s a small foldable one, but honestly, as long as it’s not wall-mounted, I think it’s a plus.
【Deluxe Design Double Room】
This is the room we originally booked. Booking through the travel website, it was really less than NT$1,500 per night—with amazing cost-performance ratio. It also has a sofa, window seating, and all the premium room features such as a microwave and tableware. The room is very spacious too—two large 29-inch suitcases can be laid out with room to spare.
The bathroom is wet-and-dry separated. This room type doesn’t have a bathtub, but no big deal—having a massage is enough XD, no need for a bath to unwind.
【Premium Honeymoon Suite】
This feels like an upgraded version of the Deluxe Design Double Room, even more spacious, and the bathroom also has a bathtub. Although every room has an industrial style, there’s always a touch of girlish color on the walls, adding a softer vibe and making the overall look quite pleasant.

．How to get there: After exiting from Exit 3 of BTS Phrom Phong Station (E5), turn around, walk past Family Mart, then turn left into Sukhumvit 37 Alley. Walk straight to the end and you’ll see the guesthouse’s eye-catching purple sign on the left~
Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my stay here. It offers great value for money, perfect for budget travelers. Plus, the location is absolutely unbeatable. It’s super close to the BTS station, situated at a central stop, so getting around is very convenient without long rides. Also, the area stays lively even at night, which is great for someone like me who likes to explore till the very end—no need to worry about coming back to a quiet or unsafe street.
If I had to point out a downside, the room lighting is a bit dim. Personally, I find it inconvenient for applying makeup—the brightness just isn’t ideal. Even friends who don’t wear makeup felt the same; we’d prefer a brighter space. But it doesn’t affect my overall positive impression of Adagio Bangkok. On the bright side, the dim lighting gives the room a soft and relaxing vibe. After a whole day of walking, eating, shopping in Bangkok, coming back to a chill space to unwind is really nice XD

Bonus: Local Snacks & Street Food Nearby
1. Hot Dog Wrap (name coined by me)
I’ve had this snack before—it’s simple but really delicious. Just a flatbread with an egg and a hot dog, all for just 10 Thai baht. It’s located in Sukhumvit 37 Alley, and the hot dog tastes similar to the fried ones you’d find at night markets in Taiwan.
2. Banana Pancake
This one is near Phrom Phong Station, right next to NARAYA. There are lots of banana pancakes on Bangkok streets, but many look unhygienic or are overly greasy. This stall looks clean, gives you a generous amount of banana, and the pancake is cooked perfectly—not greasy at all. The balance of condensed milk and chocolate sauce is just right, making it super sweet and tasty~ One serving is 40 Thai baht.
3. Xing Xing Hainanese Chicken Rice
This place is also on the same street as NARAYA. On Google Maps, it’s listed as “Super Delicious Chicken Rice – Queued-Up Famous Shop – Xing Xing Hainanese Chicken Rice,” but don’t be fooled by the icon—it’s not a sit-down shop, it’s a street food stall. I made the mistake of walking into the wrong store by following the map icon gt;lt;
This chicken rice shop only opens in the afternoon, and each portion is just 40 Thai baht. The chicken is tender, and the rice has good flavor too. It’s not mind-blowingly amazing (though I don’t think any chicken rice in Bangkok ever is—many taste pretty similar), but it’s similar to what you’d get at Pinky’s in Saphan Phut. The only difference is the soup, which is a bit salty here (but the soup isn’t the main focus XD). If you happen to walk by, it’s definitely worth trying.
