Affected by the northeastern monsoon, temperatures in northern Taiwan on December 31st will show a continuous downward trend, with daytime highs not exceeding 20 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in other parts of Taiwan will also drop slightly, with localized brief showers across the island. Starting in the second half of the day, rain in central and southern Taiwan will gradually ease, turning to cloudy to sunny weather. After nightfall, rainfall in northern and eastern Taiwan may also begin to subside.

From New Year's Eve to the early hours of January 1st, the cold air mass will be at its strongest. At that time, low temperatures in areas north of central Taiwan and in northeastern Taiwan will drop to 14–15 degrees Celsius. The weather will gradually shift from damp and cold to dry and cold. Temperatures will rise slightly on New Year’s Day, ranging between 17–24 degrees Celsius. There will be localized brief showers in eastern Taiwan, scattered brief showers in the greater Taipei area, and mostly cloudy to sunny conditions in other regions.
After January 2nd, the northeastern monsoon will weaken slightly, and temperatures will rise somewhat, hovering around 20 degrees Celsius, with southern Taiwan possibly reaching highs of 24 degrees Celsius. From Thursday to Saturday (January 2nd to 4th), there will be localized brief showers in eastern Taiwan, scattered brief showers in northern Taiwan, and mostly cloudy to sunny conditions in other regions.
