As the Lunar New Year approaches, a series of events under the 2020 "Beauty of Shulin" Spring Festival Carnival Lantern Festival, organized by the Shulin District Office, marks the first collaboration with the Taiwan Teddy Bear Association. The event features an exhibition at the square behind Shulin Railway Station, showcasing 18 teddy bears that symbolize the 12 zodiac animals, the four seasons, cultural fusion, and festive traditions—paired with lantern scenery, they are incredibly cute.

At the site, 16 local elementary and middle schools have contributed painted lanterns to create a massive lantern wall, while 880 award-winning painted lanterns are hung on both sides of the square. When lit up at night, they form a “tunnel of happiness lantern sea.” The exhibition runs until February 9, with each lantern and each teddy bear showcasing different charms and styles, making them popular spots for photos and social media posts.
This is the first collaboration with the Taiwan Teddy Bear Association, featuring 18 teddy bears with unique characteristics.

The back square lantern festival features a painted lantern wall for the first time, instantly bringing a lively festive atmosphere. The 18 teddy bears, each with their own adorable look, allow visitors to take photos with the one representing their zodiac sign and write down their New Year’s wishes for 2020 on blessing cards.
The festive decorations will be on display until February 9, 2020.
