Dream Lake in Yangmingshan National Park resembles a fairytale scenery as if you've stepped into a dream. At an elevation of 880 meters, this high-altitude lake is tucked away among the mountains. Aside from the breathtaking reflections of the mountain scenery on the water, you can also experience rich natural ecology.

The Dream Lake Trail is a loop that connects Lengshuikeng, the southern foothills of Qixing Mountain, the Education Radio Station, and Dream Lake. Along the way, the views are expansive—you can gaze at Lengshuikeng, Qigushan, Huangzui Mountain, Dajianhou Mountain, Qingtiangang Grassland, Shitiling, and Zhugao Mountain.

There are multiple viewpoints along the trail where you can overlook the Taipei Basin and get a close-up view of Qixing Mountain. Additionally, near the Education Radio Station, there are lush nectar plants that attract swarms of purple crow butterflies and blue-spotted crow butterflies every summer.

When you reach Dream Lake, don’t miss the precious wetland landscape and the aquatic plants and animals living there. Among them, the protected Taiwan water celery is the most representative. Currently, Yangmingshan National Park has designated Dream Lake as an ecological protection area to safeguard the habitat of Taiwan water celery.
