Top international brands gather as the 2020 Harbin Cold Region Expo opens on January 5

Last updated 2026-09-24 — The 2020 Harbin Cold Region Expo and the First Harbin Ice and Snow Apparel, Fashion and Equipment Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Cold Expo) will be held from January 5 to 7, 2020, at Hall A of the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center.

"Ice and snow are also invaluable assets." Harbin is capitalizing on economic development to boost its ice and snow economy. The 2020 Harbin Cold Region Expo and the First Harbin Ice and Snow Apparel, Fashion and Equipment Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Cold Expo") will take place from January 5 to 7, 2020, at Hall A of the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center. The expo will feature over 300 globally renowned ice and snow apparel and equipment companies, brands, and seven national pavilions from 13 countries and regions, all shining brightly in China’s Ice City—Harbin.

  

  The Harbin Cold Expo is hosted by the People’s Government of Harbin Municipality and organized by the Harbin Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The event aims to vigorously develop the ice and snow economy, continuously enhance Harbin’s national standing in the ice and snow industry, and strive to build Harbin into a strong ice and snow tourism city and a world-class ice and snow tourism destination.

  Top international brands gather as Harbin sounds the clarion call for ice and snow economic development

  The 2020 Harbin Cold Expo focuses on ice and snow apparel and winter sports equipment, covering an exhibition area of 12,000 square meters, with an international participation rate of over 40%.

  The ice and snow apparel section includes themed exhibition areas for fur and leather craftsmanship, fur clothing, cashmere garments, fur fashion and garments, down apparel, and winter sports clothing. The ice and snow sports section features themed zones for ice and snow equipment, ice and snow apparel and gear, ski resort peripherals, and ice and snow amusement facilities.

     

  Currently, around seven national pavilions, 300 top international brands, Fortune 500 companies, listed companies, and numerous leading enterprises have confirmed their participation. These include Austrian, Swedish, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Mongolian, and Xinji pavilions, as well as global brands such as Bosideng, Moncler, Northeast Tiger (NE・TIGER)—a top name in the fur industry, KC Fur, Swiss high-tech sportswear brand X-bionic, Austrian fashion brand SPORTALM, Decathlon, Explorer, Sanfo, Dennis, Austrian heritage brand KASTLE, Cabrinha Ski Group, UVEX, Bombardier, OGK Group, Shengxiang Ski, Mingxing Snow, Zhongxing Gloves, Harbin Sunac Snow World, Yabuli Sunshine Resort, Beidahu Ski Resort, Harbin Mingdu Ski Resort, Qiqihar Aoyue Ski Resort, and the Heilongjiang Ice and Snow Industry Research Institute. The event has also received strong support from major apparel hubs such as Hongbo Plaza, Xinji, Yulin, and Qinghe.

  

  Efforts to realize the grand vision of turning ice and snow into invaluable assets and to create a first-class professional ice and snow economic event would not be possible without the participation of the general public. The Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, Harbin Foreign Affairs Office, Municipal Sports Bureau, Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Commerce Bureau, and Culture and Tourism Bureau will organize the attendance of domestic and international guests, buyers, and other representatives.

  Brand runway shows and new product launches spice up the Ice City with exciting events

  Ever wanted to watch a runway show for free at an expo or see an Olympic champion in person? Now’s your chance. During the Harbin Cold Expo, a variety of activities will be organized, including brand runway shows, product launches, and project presentations. Of particular note, to accelerate the development of the ice and snow equipment industry, ensure the success of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and contribute to building a stronger sports nation, the organizing committee will invite China’s first-ever Olympic speed skating champion, Zhang Hong, to attend the expo. She will join guests in witnessing the unveiling of 3D-printed titanium ice skates and related ice and snow equipment.

  In addition, brands such as PROPRO, Xijia, Comegin, Eachway, JIESHI, and Aimer will present over 30 stunning runway shows during the expo, showcasing their latest 2020 collections, offering cutting-edge international creativity, highlighting China’s most influential emerging brands, and displaying Harbin’s unique European flair and fashion elements.

  The hosting of the 2020 Harbin Cold Region Expo will enhance Harbin’s global influence, leadership, and reach in the fields of ice and snow fashion apparel and equipment, providing strong support for the success of the Beijing Winter Olympics and the cultivation of a robust domestic ice and snow consumption market.
