Sunlight filtering through the treetops and gaps forms beams of light; these rays descending from above can make you feel like an instant stage star. In Ohmi Shrine, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, there is a small wooden bridge. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that when the morning sun first rises, the light streams down from the river valley. With a model standing on the bridge, any pose can look like a fairy descending to earth.

When autumn arrives and the maples turn red, the mixture of red, yellow, and green leaves glistens under the sunlight. Combined with the enchanting rays, it draws a multitude of photography enthusiasts. Photographer Yuya Sugimoto (@Sugimoto_Yuya_) is one of them. Netizens praise his work as incredibly beautiful, almost like a glimpse of a fairyland. His photos have so far garnered over 10,000 likes and more than 1,700 reposts.

He shares a helpful tip for those who wish to shoot there. Since the shooting space is very limited and the optimal lighting occurs around 8:30 AM, those aiming for better angles should arrive at the location by about 6:00 AM to secure a good spot.

Ohmi Shrine boasts a history of over 1,460 years and is a renowned shrine in western Shizuoka Prefecture (historically known as Enshu Province). It enshrines the deities of love and wealth and is a popular venue for traditional Japanese wedding ceremonies. The surrounding area is filled with ancient forests, dotted with century-old cedar trees. The shrine grounds also feature about 1,000 cherry and maple trees, attracting large numbers of visitors during spring and autumn to admire the blossoms and foliage.
