In addition to the existing 50% to 88% off promotional tickets, they have added extra 50% off trains specifically for university students returning home during winter break, allowing students to return home comfortably and quickly to vote and celebrate the New Year.

This time, Taiwan High Speed Rail is offering a total of 170 trains at 50% off. According to the original ticket purchase rules, pre-sales for tickets after January 6, 2020, began at midnight on December 10. Discounted tickets can be purchased on the high-speed rail official website, the high-speed rail app, or at high-speed rail station counters.

The 50% off trains planned for university students returning home during winter break from January 6 to 10, 2020, and from January 14 to 19, 2020, allow students to return home easily and comfortably to vote and celebrate the New Year without the hassle of traffic jams.

While scrambling for tickets, don’t forget the riding regulations for the university student discount fares. All college and university students are eligible for the university student discount, but they must hold a valid student ID and carry the original student ID with them when boarding for inspection.
