After the opening of TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Xinyi in January 2017, the fifth branch opened on December 6. This is the fifth store in Taiwan after Xinyi, Songshan, Neihu, and Taichung, located on the 2F of CITYLINK Nangang Mall, and also the largest TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE in Taiwan.

Following the opening of TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Nangang, it was also announced at the press conference that the sixth store in Taiwan will be located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Kaohsiung Dali Department Store—currently the space occupied by PRADA—and will open in spring 2020.

Covering an area of 500 ping, TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Nangang emphasizes a BOOK & CAFE lifestyle concept, featuring a large, stepped family-friendly space. The clever use of spatial design creates an atmosphere for parent-child reading. It combines the Japanese café brand WIRED CHAYA under CAFÉ COMPANY, the local Taiwanese brand Louisa premium coffee, and the Taiwanese herbal tea brand “Xiao Cao Zuo,” resulting in a new-style in-store shop concept. A diverse, multi-functional urban leisure lifestyle proposal centered around family togetherness is brought together under one roof.

In addition, to celebrate the opening of Taiwan’s largest TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Nangang, the store has specially introduced “J47 Japan Selection – Kyushu COSME,” which exclusively imports beauty and health products from Kyushu as part of Japan’s renowned 47 prefectures co-creation and regeneration initiative. This allows Taiwanese consumers to experience the high-quality essence of “Made in JAPAN.”

These include Ring-a-Bell’s “Amakusa Yabukita Camellia Oil” from Kumamoto Prefecture, fu-lu’s “Loofah Mask Lotion,” churara’s “Marine Moisturizing Cream” from Okinawa Prefecture, and ONSENSOU Beppu Japan’s “Scalp Care Shampoo” from Oita Prefecture. Alongside reading, visitors can also enjoy the beauty and lifestyle offerings of Japanese brands.
