Secluded walking trails nestled within tea plantations offer an enchanting experience of being embraced by mystical mountain mists and breathtaking forest scenery — the perfect escape for a soothing getaway.

The Taixing Rock Trail is located in Meishan, Chiayi, with a one-way distance of about 0.8 kilometers. The trail involves climbing stairs along the way and has a single entrance and exit, requiring visitors to backtrack the same path.

At an elevation of about 850 meters, the Taixing Rock Trail allows travelers to stroll through tea fields and forests throughout the journey. With some luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the ethereal mountain mist that creates a truly magical atmosphere.

The trailhead is located beside Highway 166 and features an observation deck with a wide panoramic view — not only showcasing the surrounding peaks but also offering a stunning view of the tea plantation landscape, creating an elegant and picturesque scene.

Built along the ridgeline of the mountains, the Taixing Rock Trail boasts rich biodiversity, giving travelers the chance to spot Taiwan’s endemic Mikado Pheasant as well as a variety of lush trees and plants.
