With the arrival of the winter hot spring season, many travelers begin planning soak sessions as the weather turns cooler. Located in Jiaoxi, Yilan’s renowned hot spring town, which previously gained online buzz for its night market, has now embraced the festive spirit of Christmas by creating a magical light display landscape.

A fantastical light-up carriage.
Stretching from the Hot Spring Plaza to the Welcome Plaza, the Landscaped Plaza, the Township Office, and in front of Jiaoxi Junior High School, the event creates a festive street scene that highlights the cultural character of the hot spring town. Whether it’s the dreamy Starlight Tunnel or the romantic horse carriage light decorations, every corner is a photo opportunity that keeps travelers clicking away.
The light art installations can be found along the Hot Spring Plaza to the Welcome Plaza, the Landscaped Plaza, the Township Office, and in front of Jiaoxi Junior High School.
Lights are turned on daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
This year’s Hot Spring Flower Light Festival has been specially extended from November 15 to March 1, 2020. For three and a half months, the light displays will shine every evening from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with dazzling and enchanting light art sure to captivate visitors.
The light display event will run until March 1, 2020.
