As the weather gradually cools down, it’s once again the peak season for warming up in hot springs. Now, a trip to Jinshan not only offers hot spring relaxation but also lets you admire vast fields of blooming cosmos flowers. Located at the 1-kilometer mark of Yangjin Highway in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, the delicate pink cosmos flowers are in full bloom, creating another moving winter spectacle.

The flower field is located behind the Wumu Fan Ci Temple at the “Cai Tian Friendly Contracted Terraced Paddy Fields.” This time, “New Taipei Jia Ri Shi Guang” has collaborated with local friendly farming communities in Jinshan to plant a carpet of cosmos flowers on fallow farmland during the agricultural off-season, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a colorful sea of blossoms and enjoy the beautiful sight of swaying rice fields and flower meadows.

Besides flower viewing, visitors to Jinshan can also head to the Sulfur Port Public Bathhouse, known as the “Golden Hot Spring,” for a relaxing hot spring experience. Aside from soaking in the thermal baths, there are also gazebos nearby for resting. It’s also a popular filming spot for many celebrities, idol dramas, TV series, and weather reports.

To savor local delicacies, plan a visit to the renowned “Jinshan Old Street,” which has a history of over 300 years and is the oldest street in Jinshan. Here, you can taste a variety of special snacks such as braised meat, oyster crackers, taro cakes, and grilled sweet potatoes.
