With its classic palace-style grandeur and romance, interpreted through mechanical art installations, it brings the concept of a “Dreamy Harbor” to life, becoming the most fantastical junction between land and sea. At sunset, rose-gold sparkles dance on the white carousel—this is the most enchanting moment of the day, as the harbor glimmers, the round fiery sun dips into the sea, magical night falls, and the carousel lights up the lively laughter of the docks, bringing renewed brilliance to this century-old harbor.
The pure white carousel is a must-shoot landmark for influencers, adding major points for sweetness and dreaminess.
Ride a mini train to explore Kaohsiung Harbor’s history
Zhanerku KW2 is located at Pier 2 of Kaohsiung Harbor. During the Japanese colonial period, it was a warehouse for storing and exporting sugar, but it was damaged by U.S. bombings and rebuilt in 1962, playing a key role in the shift from rail to sea transport and witnessing Taiwan’s economic boom. This century-old warehouse has been successfully revitalized, maintaining its open, pillar-free high-ceiling design while infused with a sleek, minimalist style, reborn as a hub for the new generation of creative youth. Beyond the outdoor harbor views and carousel, the warehouse houses cultural and creative goods, exhibitions, and dining options, creating a vibrant waterside lifestyle space.

“Ding-dong~” The mini train is departing?! The bright red “Kaohsiung Harbor Mini Train” is the hottest new attraction by the docks. This two-car electric sightseeing vehicle departs from Zhanerku, cruising along the shoreline through the cluster of Kaohsiung Harbor warehouses. The 15-minute ride weaves past yachts, cargo ships, century-old warehouses, and offers glimpses of Kaohsiung landmarks like the 85 Sky Tower and the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, reviving the bustling freight trains of the old docks and reconnecting memories of the “shoreline railway.”
