[Orion] The third stop of the Qing Shan Action—Hiking the Ancient Beijing-Western Trail Successfully Completed

       On June 16, the trash-picking activity along the “Ancient Beijing-Western Trail” was the third stop of the “Qing Shan Action” jointly initiated by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall and Green Field Outdoor Network. This trash-picking event along the Ancient Beijing-Western Trail saw the participation of four teams, totaling more than 200 people. The editor had the opportunity to followTeam Dali Jie on a hike along the Ancient Beijing-Western Trail, experiencing“clearing the trash and restoring the natural beauty of the mountains.”

       Before 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, the members of Team Dali Jie had gathered at the entrance of Jiuyuan. This environmental protection activity even drew Dali Jie, who isn’t in the best health, to attend. Dali Jie said that no matter how unwell she felt, she would still come for the Qing Shan Action.

        It’s worth mentioning that there were four young environmental ambassadors in this activity, with an average age of just twelve or thirteen. Despite their young age, they climbed faster than some of the more seasoned hikers in the group and were extremely diligent in picking up trash, filling up an entire bag.

       The "Qing Shan Action"—a large-scale outdoor environmental initiative organized by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in collaboration with Green Field Network—is a major environmental protection campaign covering Beijing and its surrounding areas. Starting from April 2012, Orion will join forces with Green Field to mobilize outdoor enthusiasts to conduct ongoing monthly activities aimed at clearing accumulated trash along hiking trails around Beijing, protecting the environment, and restoring the natural beauty of the mountains.
