The “2019 Outdoor Industry 3D Retail Summit Forum” was successfully held,

COA, Quye, and EOG jointly signed an international strategic cooperation agreement

On October 31, the “2019 Outdoor Industry 3D Retail Summit Forum,” co-hosted by the Outdoor Brand Alliance (hereinafter referred to as COA), Quye, and Winshang.com, was successfully held in Shanghai, China. Mr. Arne Strate, Secretary-General of the European Outdoor Group, Mr. Huang Geng, Chairman of COA and Board Chairman of Biancheng Sports, Ms. Wang Jing, Chairperson and CEO of Toread, along with representatives from over 70 domestic and international brands including international brands such as Arc’teryx, Black Diamond, Osprey, Patagonia, The North Face, ISPO, SPYDER, and Asics, were present. At the event, COA, Quye, and EOG jointly signed an international strategic cooperation agreement, officially launching exchanges and trade collaboration between China and Europe in outdoor sports, and jointly exploring new opportunities and challenges brought by the integrated development of outdoor sports and commercial real estate.

Additionally, on November 1, Mr. Huang Geng, Chairman of COA, and Mr. Arnes Strate, Secretary-General of EOG, also signed a memorandum of cooperation in Moganshan. The two parties will deepen exchanges and market development in the China-Europe outdoor industry by sharing market information, jointly participating in and collaborating on public welfare activities and summit forums.

Song Yiling Wins China’s First Women’s Speed Climbing World Cup Title

Song Yiling, an 18-year-old athlete, won three World Cup events in 2019, claiming the overall title of the IFSC Speed Climbing World Cup for women. This is also China’s first women’s speed climbing World Cup annual championship. This year is also the qualification year for the Tokyo Olympics. The top 20 athletes in the annual overall ranking of World Cup events will have the opportunity to compete in the Olympic qualification event to be held in Toulouse, France, at the end of the year. The top six male and female athletes will qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Chinese team members Zhang Yuexiong, Pan Yufei, and Song Yiling have all secured qualification event berths.

 2020 X Games Winter Edition Comes to Chongli

The Secret Garden of Wintopia in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, will host the X Games China Winter Edition from February 21 to 23, 2020. The competition events include men’s and women’s snowboarding and skiing halfpipe, men’s and women’s freestyle snowboarding and skiing, and men’s big air snowboarding.

American Outdoor Apparel Giant Columbia Mourns Passing of 95-Year-Old Female Chairwoman

Gert Boyle, daughter of the founder and former chairwoman of Columbia Sportswear Company (Columbia), a leading American outdoor apparel group (hereinafter referred to as "Columbia"), passed away on November 3 at the age of 95. Gert Boyle’s son, Tim Boyle, CEO of Columbia, will assume the role of chair until the next board meeting early next year, when the directors will further determine the company’s future governance structure.

Registration Opens for the 14th Happy Skiing Event

From January 5 to 8, 2020, the 14th Happy Skiing Event will be held at the Vanke Songhua Lake Resort in Jilin (this event follows an AA payment system).

Registration Method:Team members for the 14th Happy Skiing team are selected by invitation. Those interested in joining may inquire with existing team members for details.

Registration Period:From 12:00 on November 5, 2019, to 12:00 on December 5, 2019, or until all spots are filled

Number of Registrations:Initially planned for 99 people (on a first-come, first-served basis based on payment time)

Registration Fee:Two tiers available: 3188 RMB/person and 4399 RMB/person
