Explore Taibai Mountain "With Leaves as My Companion"? The Northwest Division of the 2012 Lafuma Mountaineering Season Sets Sail

       In June, we climbed the main peak of Lingshan; in July, we admired Tianchi Lake on Changbai Mountain. Following the leafy footprints of the first two stops, the wave of "With Leaves as My Companion"·2012 Lafuma Mountaineering Season will hit the Northwest Division in August, once again adding a brilliant stroke to the "Leaf-Seeking Map." This event is divided into four major divisions nationwide—North China, Northeast China, Northwest China, and Southwest China. Its innovative competition format, classic mountaineering routes, and attractive prizes have drawn numerous outdoor enthusiasts to participate. Every stop along the way has been exciting and unforgettable. As the third stop of this event, the Northwest Division will see event organizer Lafuma unveiling the unique "ancient glacial leaves" of Taibai Mountain, exploring the most ancient natural footprints.
       First Encounter with Leaves: Showcase Yourself Through Online Registration
       According to the organizers, this event adopts a large-scale online recruitment and selection process. Through a novel format that combines entertainment with competition, it provides all participants with a stage to showcase themselves and realize their dreams. Participants only need to register online at the official website of the "With Leaves as My Companion"·2012 Lafuma Mountaineering Season event, fill in basic information such as personal introductions and competition declarations to enrich their personal profiles, and upload personal portraits and outdoor photos, share outdoor experiences, travel guides, event videos, etc., to take part in the Northwest Division activities.

 

Showcase of Northwest Division Registrants

 

       There are no restrictions on gender, experience, or nationality to join the event. Here, all participants can fully showcase their individuality, share outdoor experiences, interact with netizens, and fully demonstrate their outdoor charm and abilities. Subsequently, the organizing committee will select 30 qualified participants to advance and attend a two-day offline event in the Northwest Division for free, venturing deep into the heart of the Qinling Mountains and trekking through the classic Taibai Mountain route.
       The Grand Blossoming of Leaves: Searching for the "Ancient Glacial Leaves" of Taibai Mountain
       After intense and competitive selections, the advancing participants of the Northwest Division will gather at the Taibai Mountain Scenic Area in Shaanxi on August 11–12 to compete on the mountain ridges. Over the course of two days, all advancing participants will challenge the classic Taibai Mountain route—from Tangyu to Baxian Platform—passing through Shangbansi, the Large and Small Wen Gong Temples, Dayi Sea, Er Yi Sea, and San Yi Sea, before finally reaching the summit of Baxian Platform. Countless spectacular views will be taken in, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of Taibai Mountain. Here, participants can encounter the ancient and diverse remnants of Quaternary glaciers, admire the majestic scenery of Dayi Sea, and experience the awe-inspiring steepness of Baxian Platform’s summit, leaving them refreshed and enchanted.
       Additionally, this event uniquely incorporates a variety of colorful segments. The thrilling mid-weight ridge trekking race, the tender and romantic camping and sing-along activity "Songs Invited Under the Leafy Sky," and the photography activity "The Most Beautiful Leaf in My Eyes" all add a lighthearted, joyful, and humorous atmosphere to the event. Moreover, green environmental initiatives—such as the public welfare activity "Cherish Every Inch of Land"—will be carried out along the way, advocating for returning to nature and protecting the environment. These activities allow outdoor enthusiasts to not only enjoy the charm of the outdoors but also gain a deeper understanding of the true essence of outdoor sports.
