Starting on July 17, following the Chengdu stop, the second leg of the 2012 KAILAS National Retail Terminal “1+1” Training Program officially commenced by the sea in Shenzhen. Aimed at enhancing the outdoor expertise of KAILAS frontline sales staff nationwide, this large-scale terminal training initiative closely follows the 2012 London Olympics and is unfolding vigorously across various regional markets. The Shenzhen stop of the “1+1” program, themed around outdoor activity experiences and outdoor knowledge training, lasted four days in total, with over 40 participants in attendance.

This training session included four coaches from the Shenzhen Mountaineering Association, primarily delivering content based on the core curriculum of the SMA’s “Introductory Mountain Skills Training.” This allowed our frontline sales team to truly experience and appreciate the value and appeal that outdoor activities bring. This immersive form of training also significantly improved training effectiveness. Through activities such as backpack packing, hiking, tent setup, and camping, they gained an understanding of the importance of outdoor gear, thereby becoming more familiar with the company’s products.
In the training feedback, all participants stated that the “1+1” training enabled them to receive and absorb more knowledge compared to traditional classroom-style training; they hoped the company would organize such training events annually.
It is reported that this nationwide “1+1” training program will continue until the end of the year. Following the Chengdu and Shenzhen stops, KAILAS will also hold training sessions in multiple cities including Nanjing, Xi'an, and Beijing.
Keyword: “1+1”
The so-called “1+1” refers to a training activity that combines “product knowledge + outdoor experience.” It features wide coverage, multiple triggers, deeper engagement, easier absorption, and strong practicality. This format completely breaks away from the old-style, theory-heavy cramming method of training, enabling terminal store staff to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills more quickly, easily, and with greater focus. At the same time, it also allows all out-of-town colleagues to learn more about the company’s development updates, strengthening everyone’s sense of belonging.
