The "My Domain, My Choice" 3rd Wanwang Cup RB Urban Race college street chase event was held at 8:30 a.m. on September 23, 2012, at the skating rink of the University of International Business and Economics. The event drew 129 college roller skating enthusiasts from 28 universities nationwide, all showing great enthusiasm and love for the competition.

Wanwang (www.net.cn), as a pioneer in China’s domain name registration services, introduced this year the globally popular Chinese national top-level domain product – personal name domains, allowing users to register .cn domains using their full name pinyin. By sponsoring this event, Wanwang aims to help the younger generation create personal spaces to showcase themselves and build websites. As their desire to create personal value grows stronger, name domains have become a personalized choice for college students, ultimately forming a good match between domain, website, and individual. Therefore, name domains will increasingly impact individuals and also offer great opportunities for establishing personal brands. In an interview, Mr. Dong from Wanwang mentioned that they have sponsored this event for two consecutive years because it is meaningful and has no venue restrictions. Now that the RB brand has brought these better pieces of equipment to China, it offers the best promotion for the sport. College students today have great conditions, and companies like ours should create even better opportunities for them. Wanwang is a leader in the domain name field in China, and RB is a flagship brand in roller skating. The strong partnership between the two will achieve a win-win outcome.

A total of 130 students from 28 universities across the country successfully registered and participated in this competition. After intense preliminary rounds where four skaters competed in each group, eight male and eight female participants advanced to the final one-on-one knockout stage with increased difficulty. After three knockout rounds, Cui Xiaoxu (No. 116) from Minzu University of China won the men’s first place, while Wang Xinyu (No. 39) from Tsinghua University claimed the women’s first place. Additionally, Minzu University of China and Beijing International Studies University won the team championships for men and women respectively.

Rollerblade (abbreviated as RB), a world-renowned roller skating brand with 31 years of presence in the international market, successfully launched its first event in China in September 2010. This marks the third consecutive year the event has been held, with the number of participants increasing dramatically with each edition. As the leader in inline skating, Rollerblade (RB) has always been committed to promoting and popularizing roller skating in China, especially among college students, encouraging them to engage more in outdoor skating and experience the thrill of speed and excitement. Seeing the enthusiasm college students showed for this event, we are confident about holding the next edition of the competition.
