The 2012 “Success Auto Cup” Fourth China Guizhou Zunyi Loushanguan・Hailongtun International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge concluded on October 17 in Zunyi, Guizhou. The Kolumb (Golonbu) Outdoor Team achieved an outstanding performance among all participating teams, ranking fifth with a time of 9 hours, 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
The race course covered a total distance of 65 kilometers and featured events such as orienteering, cross-country running with weights, mountain biking, and mountain climbing. Competitors started at 8:00 AM from the mountaintop campsite at Hailongtun, completing orienteering on rugged terrain and a road-based mountain bike race along the way. Along the route, participants also took part in local “farm work” activities such as weaving with rattan, shelling corn, and catching ducks. The final 4-kilometer mountain climb was held at the historic site of the Loushanguan Battle, where the steep terrain caused some competitors to drop out. Embodying the progressive spirit of the Kolumb brand, the Kolumb (Golonbu) Outdoor Team overcame numerous challenges on this grueling course, finishing in 9 hours, 5 minutes and 40 seconds, and securing fifth place overall.
This event made a significant contribution to promoting outdoor sports and national fitness, and helped establish outdoor living as a new lifestyle for contemporary society.
