Number of visitors to South Korea hits one million mark！Actor So Ji-sub makes grand appearance at travel fair to promote tourism

In addition to creating the largest national image pavilion, this year’s event also invites two popular Korean celebrities including top Hallyu star So Ji-sub；there will be two performance groups and a large exhibition area consisting of 66 booths.

This year also sees the participation of 80 exhibitors and 160 Korean personnel. The number of Taiwanese visitors to South Korea in 2019 reached one million people one month earlier than last year, with total mutual visits reaching 1.72 million. The goal is to achieve 3 million mutual visits between Taiwan and South Korea by 2020！

The increase in mutual visits between Taiwan and South Korea is also closely related to the rise in flight options. In addition to Seoul, Busan, Daegu, and Jeju, flights to non-capital cities such as Muan and Cheongju have been added, along with flights departing from Taitung and Taichung. In December, a new direct flight from Taipei to Gangwon Province has also been launched.

Additionally, taking cruises to South Korea has become a new trend, with a scene from Princess Cruises set up at the event. Units from Seoul, South Jeolla Province, Gyeonggi Province, Gangwon Province, and Jeju Province—as well as Incheon Airport and Lotte Duty Free—have come to Taiwan to interact with consumers.
