With the winter vacation halfway through, Beidahu Ski Resort has launched its annual “Beikuai Zi Winter Camp” as scheduled. The Beikuai Zi Winter Camp is a children’s skiing program meticulously crafted by Beidahu Ski Resort, aiming to cultivate children’s interest in skiing and improve their skiing skills. Professional ski training, rich activity schedules, and considerate full-service... every aspect is tailored for kids, sparking a “second-generation skier” training craze this winter.
The 2012–2013 snow season of the Beikuai Zi Winter Camp is divided into two sessions, each featuring five days of colorful and enriching course arrangements. Here, children can not only listen firsthand to top ski coaches sharing skiing techniques, international ski knowledge, and thrilling legendary competitions, but also get up close with the snowy landscape, enjoy the fun-filled Snow Castle, experience the awe of snow culture, and ignite their athletic potential. A diverse curriculum and lively teaching methods not only effectively boost children’s enthusiasm and passion for skiing, allowing them to embrace joyful learning and perseverance, but also help uncover their multifaceted creative dreams.
The first session of the Beikuai Zi Winter Camp was successfully held from January 21 to 25, 2013, with 17 children participating and receiving an overwhelmingly positive response. The camp featured two instructional teams—snowboard and alpine skiing. From the opening ceremony to basic ski equipment knowledge and initial on-snow experiences, after five days of camp activities, the children were all able to ski down Run 1 with ease. One standout participant, dubbed the “Number One Beikuai Zi Seed,” even conquered Runs 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, and 14, earning the title of “Best Skier” with surprising skill levels.
In addition, to enrich the children’s extracurricular life, the Beikuai Zi Winter Camp also organized a variety of distinctive extension activities, such as snow tubing. The Beidahu Recreation Center also hosted exciting billiards competitions. Fun and creative handicraft classes, screenings of domestic and international films and ski videos, and vibrant performances... not only comprehensively develop children’s intelligence and unlock their potential, but also foster multicultural awareness.
To ensure parents’ peace of mind, the Beikuai Zi Winter Camp has dedicated staff and medical personnel on-site, along with life teachers accompanying the children throughout. Safety is fully guaranteed. Following the successful conclusion of the first session, the second session kicked off on January 28 with great enthusiasm. Led by 11 professional coaches, 3 accompanying teachers, and several support staff, 27 children experienced a unique winter vacation life within the Snow Castle.
In addition to the Beikuai Zi Winter Camp designed for children aged 6–13, Beidahu Ski Resort is also offering special discount skiing activities for “big kids.” Every Tuesday, a ski shuttle is available for university students in the Changchun area.
