The Taiwan Pavilion at the Expo, featuring the "Mountain-Water Heart Lamp," is all set to shine as a dazzling jewel.

The design of the Taiwan Pavilion at the Expo combines art and technology at their finest, creating many one-of-a-kind experiences. Upon entering the pavilion, visitors on the first floor’s “Window on Taiwan” can immediately feel the warmth and vitality of the Taiwanese people. This includes messages from the pavilion’s ambassadors—such as Lin Chi-ling, Tao Ching-ying, CEO Chang Yi and Artistic Director Yang Hui-shan of Liuli Gongfang, corporate figures, and ordinary Taiwanese citizens—who share their visions of a beautiful Taiwan through video messages and extend a heartfelt welcome. Visitors then take an elevator to the fourth floor to enter the “Full-Dome Theater.” In this theater, the visual experience is boundless—surrounded by images on all sides, visitors feel as though they are immersed in a cinematic world.

Upon entering the second-floor “Lantern-Lighting Water Platform,” visitors can take part in a traditional yet tech-enhanced lantern-lighting blessing ceremony. The large lantern base features a double-ring water pool, with the central pool filled with water from Sun Moon Lake. At its center stands rose quartz unique to Taiwan’s Yushan Mountain. The platform is surrounded by water symbolizing the Pacific Ocean, allowing visitors standing beneath the lantern to feel Taiwan’s island-like embrace by the sea. Finally, visitors proceed to the first-floor “City Plaza” to experience authentic local customs under a symbolic Taiwan tree. Elegant tea performances are offered, and goodwill ambassadors serve tea to guests, reflecting the hospitality of the Taiwanese people. Visitors can also take home a specially designed tea-serving cup as a memorable souvenir of their Taiwan Pavilion visit.

The official theme song of the Taiwan Pavilion at the Expo, “Heartbeat of Taiwan,” features lyrics by Golden Melody Award-winning songwriter Vincent Fang, capturing the essence of Taiwan’s charm. It is performed by Asian pop sensation Jolin Tsai with her tender and emotive voice. In the music video, Tsai also gently lights a lantern and offers blessings for everyone, using beautiful and moving lyrics and melodies, along with visuals of Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage, to showcase the nation’s blend of tradition and modernity. The venue also presents compositions by renowned composer and conductor Chung Yao-kuang, current conductor of the Taipei Municipal Chinese Classical Orchestra, as well as Taiwanese indigenous folk songs. Visitors will be truly moved by the powerful and mesmerizing voices of the indigenous performers.
