How to spend a meaningful “International Women’s Day”? On March 6, over 50 women volunteers including government officials, local residents, and students from the Zhongshan East Road Subdistrict community in Qiaodong District, Shijiazhuang, mounted their bicycles and rode along Zhongshan East Road to promote low-carbon environmental protection. They also distributed eco-friendly bookmarks to passersby, thus celebrating a meaningful International Women’s Day.
On the afternoon of March 6, over 50 women volunteers—including government officials, local residents, and students—from the Zhongshan East Road Subdistrict community in Qiaodong District, Shijiazhuang, hopped on their bikes and cycled along Zhongshan East Road to advocate for low-carbon environmental protection. They handed out eco-friendly bookmarks to pedestrians, making for a meaningful International Women’s Day.
According to Li Xia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Zhongshan East Road Subdistrict Office, since the launch of the “Two Environments” construction campaign at both the provincial and municipal levels in Shijiazhuang, local residents have shown strong support for improving the ecological environment. Taking advantage of International Women’s Day, the women volunteers actively promoted low-carbon environmental awareness, giving this year’s celebration even greater meaning.
