Vietnam is currently an important overseas hub for Taiwanese businesses, and the first Vietnamese flagship store of J&G Fried Chicken is located in the “Phan Chí Long Road commercial area of Phú Nhuận District,” a top-tier food destination in Vietnam. It has nearly 50 seating spaces and is also the global 350th outlet. Meanwhile, J&G Fried Chicken will adapt to local conditions and adjust suitable menu items to meet the dietary habits of the locals.
In addition to Taiwan’s existing offerings, J&G Fried Chicken in Vietnam also introduced dishes such as chicken steak dry noodles to cater to local eating preferences.
For most Vietnamese, the main staple in restaurants is still rice, pho, or bread. Therefore, J&G Fried Chicken in Vietnam, besides its original items, also launched new products such as fried chicken leg burgers, J&G soy sauce chicken rice, chicken steak rice, and chicken steak dry noodles. Some of these are not yet available in Taiwan and are worth trying for travelers seeking a taste of the local food culture.
The fried chicken leg burger has become the hottest bestseller in Vietnam, aligning with the local preference for bread-based meals.
In recent years, J&G Fried Chicken has not only steadily expanded in Taiwan but has also actively gone international. It entered the U.S. and Canadian markets in 2018, and by the end of this year, it will further penetrate the Southeast Asian market. After 47 years of proactive expansion, J&G Fried Chicken has truly become a symbol of “Taiwanese classic cuisine.”
The opening of J&G Fried Chicken’s first Vietnamese store invited Vietnamese and Thai celebrities to appear, with a lion and dragon dance performance to kick off the event.
In the first half of the year, J&G Fried Chicken established two locations in Vancouver, Canada. It currently has seven outlets in Malaysia, four in Hong Kong, and by the end of the year, will add two more in the Philippines, two in Malaysia, and two in Vietnam, bringing its total global count, including China, to over 350 outlets.
