Taipei City- has launched a winter mini-trip to Shetou Island, where you can join for free simply by signing up online. The activity offers free shuttle service and meals, taking travelers to experience the beauty of Shetou Island Wetlands and its ecology.

The environmental activities launched around Shetou Island Wetlands have consistently received positive feedback from travelers, with high registration rates in previous years. This year, for the first time, two activities are being offered as part of a one-day tour: “OH！Paper Has Only Reed You” and “Crabs Thank You for Visiting Shetou Island,” combining ecological observation, habitat conservation, and hands-on crafting experiences for a fulfilling program.
The activity allows you to observe the behavior of wildlife.
The activity not only gives you a glimpse into the daily lives of animals on the wetlands, including foraging, territorial disputes, and courtship, but also lets you observe close-up views of northern migratory birds coming for the winter. Additionally, you can admire the reeds and engage in a soothing, stress-relieving hands-on craft to create unique natural reed handmade paper.
