— Central Station (Central Station), symbolizing departure and return — is a rock band with a retro style. Based in Chengdu. The lead vocalist Shrine Den and drummer Muse Ji are both from Yunnan, guitarist Jimmy Lee is from Guangxi, and keyboardist Tears is from Xinjiang. Their music style is diverse, with an emphasis on the content of each song during the creative process. Every emotional outpouring is purposeful, and they also maintain a serious and objective attitude toward overall track arrangement. They enjoy improvisational music and value musical creativity.

The Reason
— Believing that the life of rock music belongs to the stage, they have always taken live performance as their sole creed and actively innovate to challenge the expectations of different audiences. The Reason band was formed in early 2006, and during the era of emotional music trends, they were the only band to incorporate traditional Chinese musical elements into their style. They released their first EP, The Reason, in 2007. The band reunited at the end of 2008, recorded and independently released their second EP, The Reason II, in 2009. In 2012, they returned to their classic four-member lineup and released their third EP, Midnight Legend, at the end of the year. With tight drumbeats, steady and powerful bass, aggressive yet glamorous guitars, introspective and melancholic vocal melodies, and vocals that pierce the nerves, their decadent notes instantly infect and numb the hearts of all who imagine beauty within. Of course, you can easily find traces of post-rock, emo, metal, punk, hardcore… in their music, but if you must define them with one genre, it’s The Reason.

From the release of his first album, fans and the media affectionately dubbed him the “Rock Rhino,” a nod to aspects of his personality that closely resemble those of a rhino: simple, direct, and immensely powerful — which is also the most captivating aspect of rock music.
