Taoyuan: Song Xilong, a fourth-year student at Taipei University, entered the mountains from Manyueyuan in Taipei’s Sanxia District on the 25th and climbed Beichapai Mountain alone. Unfortunately, he became stranded in the mountainous area bordering northern and Taoyuan regions and called for help from Taoyuan County via his mobile phone. After being missing for nearly 24 hours, good news came yesterday afternoon. He was confirmed to have been found at the site of the wooden cabin near Heiwei Sacred Tree and was escorted down the mountain in the afternoon, returning via the direction of Taipei County.
