The "Odysun Lets You See the Height of the World" Global 14 Peaks Over 8,000 Meters Expedition Plan, organized jointly by Odysun Co., Ltd., the Chinese Taipei Mountaineering Association, and the Chinese Taipei Hiking and Mountaineering Association, after confirming its shortlist on January 15th, held a series of joint training courses last weekend at the National Park Mountaineering School at the Lushui Management Station in Taroko National Park, building up more energy for future climbs.
To better prepare the trainees both mentally and physically, the organizers arranged a series of dynamic and static courses, giving participants more opportunities to interact with experts and scholars from various fields in Taiwan’s mountaineering community, while also fostering teamwork and cooperation through hands-on sessions—thereby enhancing safety and success rates during the climbs.
Cheng Kun, Chairman of Odysun Co., Ltd. and initiator of this event, also attended the training course, explaining that Odysun’s commitment to promoting this activity over 10 to 15 years reflects its determination to engage more young people in Taiwan’s mountaineering scene. He encouraged all trainees to dare to dream and fulfill those dreams through this opportunity, hoping to elevate the overall strength of Taiwan’s mountaineering community.
