Recently, OutDoor Taiwan held its 2011 spring collection launch event, showcasing this year’s latest outdoor spring fashion and gear. Chairman Cheng Kun also announced the launch of the "100 Peaks Grand Slam" initiative on the occasion of the centennial of the Republic of China. Through outdoor hiking activities that encourage public participation, the initiative invites everyone to personally experience the beauty of Taiwan’s major and minor peaks. By engaging in outdoor fitness activities together, it aims to challenge a Guinness World Record and celebrate the 100th birthday of the Republic of China. The ongoing "Climb 100 Peaks to Celebrate 100 Years" campaign has divided Taiwan’s 100 Peaks into 26 routes based on geographic location and ideal climbing seasons, allowing outdoor enthusiasts to rediscover the wonder, peril, majesty, and beauty of these peaks.

From 2005 to 2009, OutDoor Taiwan invested over NT$35 million in manpower and resources to complete the world’s most glorious and perilous Seven Summits climbing project in Taiwan’s history. In 2011, OutDoor Taiwan once again announced plans to take on the challenge of scaling the world’s 14 highest peaks over 8,000 meters—a feat considered among the most difficult globally—over the next 10 to 15 years. To date, only 21 climbers worldwide have completed this challenge. This ambitious expedition is expected to elevate the nation’s mountaineering and climbing skills to new heights. OutDoor Taiwan will continue to encourage and support adventurous Taiwanese in realizing their dreams and achieving remarkable adventure legends.

Last year, OutDoor Taiwan was once again honored with the “Sports Enabler Award” from the Sports Administration of the Executive Yuan—the silver award for promoting outdoor activities for over 20 years. This marks the second time the company has received such recognition, following the gold award in 2009 for corporate sponsorship of the Seven Summits project. Additionally, in the “Healthy Brands Reader’s Choice” poll conducted by CommonHealth Magazine, OutDoor Taiwan has been ranked first for five consecutive years, earning strong support and trust from consumers and demonstrating the local enterprise’s unwavering commitment to promoting outdoor leisure.

Chairman Cheng stated that in response to widespread praise and recognition, OutDoor Taiwan will continue to serve consumers with quality products and sincere dedication. He also expressed the hope that through various events, more people can enjoy an exciting outdoor lifestyle. For more details, please visit OutDoor Taiwan’s official website at www.atunas.com.tw.
