Hualien: A group of six members from the Culture University Mountaineering Club entered the mountains from Taroko, Hualien on the 4th to climb Qingshui Mountain in Hualien. They had planned to descend on the 6th, but one member surnamed Lin became separated and lost contact, failing to meet at the designated location. The other members had to descend first and sought help from the Hualien County Fire Bureau. The fire bureau and the Taroko National Park Police formed a search and rescue team to enter the mountains, but as of press time, the missing member has not been found.
