Three foreign mountaineers died while attempting to climb the world’s third-highest peak, and their two Nepali guides also perished.
The three foreigners included two Hungarians and one South Korean. On Monday, when they reached an altitude of 3,000 meters, they lost contact with their base camp due to severe weather. Today, it has been confirmed that all three foreigners and the two Nepali guides have died.
The mountain they were climbing is located on the border between Nepal and India, known as Kangchenjunga, which stands at 8,586 meters above sea level and is the world’s third-highest peak.
