A three-person hiking team from Taipei City was climbing Qilai Main Peak on the 27th of last month when one of the members, a 60-year-old woman surnamed Peng, is believed to have fallen off a cliff. Rescue personnel continued searching the area where she went missing and at 10:38 a.m. discovered a body wearing a red top and gray pants 300 meters below the cliff. Due to thick cloud cover in the mountainous region, helicopters were unable to perform hoisting operations. Rescue workers are currently trying to descend to retrieve the body.
