The "2014 International Taiwan Cycling Round-the-Island Road Race" began on the 9th with a five-day event, attracting 100 riders from 20 teams across 30 countries and regions.
Today’s stage in Tainan saw all riders depart from Tainan City Hall, pass through Guanziling, and then tackle a nearly 40-kilometer mountain ridge climb before reaching the finish line at the Zengwen Reservoir, covering a total distance of 161 kilometers — the toughest section of this year’s race.

He overtook China’s Wu Nan, who had 10 points, to don the red polka-dot jersey symbolizing the King of the Mountains and completed his three-peat in the race’s mountain classification.
After today’s stage, Remy Di Gregorio of France’s Team La Pomme Marseille retained the yellow jersey representing the overall individual leader, but the green jersey for the sprint leader went to Marco Zanotti of the Netherlands’ Parkhotel Valkenburg Cycling Team. 1030312
