A mountaineering accident occurred on Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the French Alps, on the 13th, resulting in the deaths of five hikers. Another person fell into a valley and is in a coma, with rescuers currently attempting to retrieve them.
The six hikers involved in the incident were attempting to climb Mont Blanc’s second-highest peak, which stands at an elevation of 3,900 meters, but went missing during the night. Authorities dispatched helicopters to search for them, and today five bodies were found.
