The Taipei City Fire Department received a report around 10 a.m. that hikers on a mountain trail in Lane 105, Pingjing Street, were attacked by a swarm of bees, with six people rushed to hospital in critical but conscious condition.
The department said it dispatched ambulances to the scene near the mountain trail in Lane 105, Pingjing Street, close to Section 3, Zhishan Road, in Shilin District, after receiving the report. Upon arrival, they found three men and three women injured and immediately sent them to hospital.
The department added that firefighters had located the beehive and were dealing with it. 1031203
