Democratic Progressive Party legislative candidate Chen Shikai started his canvassing at 6 a.m. on the Great Wall Hiking Trail in Dadu, while incumbent Kuomintang legislator Yan Kuan-heng, who is seeking re-election, inspected the Dadu District Swimming Pool and urged the Taichung City Government’s Physical Education and Health Division to expedite renovations and repairs.
Yan Kuan-heng’s service office recently received complaints from residents that the over 30-year-old Dadu District Swimming Pool had some aging and damaged facilities, posing potential risks of injury to swimmers. Upon learning of this, Yan immediately instructed his service office to send a formal request, and after coordinating an inspection with the Education Bureau’s Physical Education and Health Division, he pledged to carry out immediate improvements.
