Miaoli: A Hong Kong national surnamed Yu, residing in New Taipei City, entered the mountain on the 15th via Wuling Farm to attempt a one-day round trip to Snow Mountain East Peak via the Snow East Trail. On the descent, he was spotted by fellow hikers who noticed he was lightly dressed and showing signs of hypothermia. After contacting the Wuling Patrol Team of the Snow Mountain Branch, Fifth Brigade, Seventh Battalion of the National Police Agency, seven personnel were dispatched to rescue him from Qika Lodge to the Wuling Patrol Team. After regaining his strength, he safely returned home.
